Living in Lubbock, Texas I’ve become obsessed with prairie dogs. They are everywhere but can so easily go unnoticed. Unfortunately many prairie dogs are displaced as their homes are destroyed during urban development. For this project I aimed to make the unnoticed noticed by placing my prairie dogs in various locations throughout campus.  A lot of this project was motivated by my love of prairie dogs but I also wanted to comment on marginalized groups that don’t have a voice, by giving them a voice through these life size cardboard cutout prairie dogs. I wrote in a few of the comments on these, but the majority of them were left blank for others to write on. What would you say if you were one of these prairie dogs?
